We pioneered and refined three new enclosures for protecting console video game systems this month. These enclosures are well-suited to Internet cafes, pediatric offices, college dorms, children’s clinics, reception areas, senior’s housing, nursing homes, waiting rooms, bars, casinos, homes with small children and any place where a Nintendo WII, Microsoft XBOX 360 or Sony Playstation 3 may be stolen or tampered with. These are tough little cases that can be screwed down to a stationary platform. For more information, please visit http://www.clearpc.ca

When the spirit of the season and the spirit of innovation join together at this time of year, we can end up manufacturing some really great stuff. In that light, we’ve come up with an entirely new item, one which we think can really liven up a retailer’s Christmas display, a special birthday party and generally, celebrations of all kinds.
This clear acrylic gift box measures 8″ square. It’s bow is wrapped from multiple routed strands of red acrylic which are carefully heated and formed and then assembled and bonded to form the bow that’s shown below. It’s a bit of work, but the result is a red acrylic bow with a matching ribbon wrapping around the gift box on four sides.
The box itself is made from a cast clear acrylic, an acrylic that has optical qualities higher than glass. Transparent colors of all kinds can be used for the bow and ribbon material. If you have questions about this item or would like to order different sizes, please feel free to contact us.

Problem: The University of Toronto’s Chemistry department required a container appropriate for storing hazardous materials. They came to us, and we began work on an enlosure specifically designed to withstand the effects of harsh chemicals.
Solution: We decided to use 1/4″ acrylic in the panels of the NIMA box, and added openings according to our customer’s specifications. The case features a hinged front door, metal catches, an acrylic handle, and openings on the front and sides to accomodate various tubes. We produced a drawing of the NIMA box within about two hours, and five business days later the enclosure was completed.

Problem: General Electric Corporation asked us to create a next-generation podium. The podium or lectern had to be portable and reflect GE®’s modernity. They wanted a formal, sleek and professional look. The GE® logo was required to be a color change item.
Solution: After some consultation, we opted to design in Lexan®, using both clear and translucent blue sheet in a 3/8″ thickness: GE® colors. The clear and blue sheet is GE®’s very own, they pioneered it and it is more commonly known as, “bullet proof glass” – a beautiful, super-tough material. Here we’ve married colored Lexan® with an LED edge-lit, lasered logo front and center. The entire podium collapses into a portable unit. Simple and elegant. Our design is open and the podium is currently available for fabrication. Please inquire.

Problem: Create a security cabinet for a Nintendo Wii. The enclosure must be lockable, secured to a desktop, be able to exchange discs and power the unit on and off without opening and closing the front bay door continuously.
Solution: Nintendo WII security cabinet from Acrylics.ca. We were able to draw this unit for our customer within a few hours of receiving our Nintendo WII for measurements. A great little unit! Available for sale in our catalog.
