University of Toronto NIMA Enclosure

Thursday, August 14th, 2008

Problem: The University of Toronto’s Chemistry department required a container appropriate for storing hazardous materials.  They came to us, and we began work on an enlosure specifically designed to withstand the effects of harsh chemicals.

Solution: We decided to use 1/4″ acrylic in the panels of the NIMA box, and added openings according to our customer’s specifications.  The case features a hinged front door, metal catches, an acrylic handle, and openings on the front and sides to accomodate various tubes.  We produced a drawing of the NIMA box within about two hours, and five business days later the enclosure was completed.
